Welcome to Shreeji Khaman and Vadapav, a delightful haven for lovers of authentic Gujarati cuisine nestled in Windsor, Ontario. Located at 1175 University Ave W and open for anyone craving a taste of India, this restaurant is fast becoming a staple for those yearning for the rich flavors of home.
What sets Shreeji apart is their unrelenting dedication to quality and tradition. The culinary journey begins with their famous Vadapav, which has garnered an almost cult-like following. Imagine sinking your teeth into a soft bun, perfectly cradling a spicy potato filling, topped with creamy Amul cheese. It's a dish that transports you straight to the bustling streets of Mumbai, right here in Canada. Reviewers like Vraj Soni describe it as "one of the best vadapavs I've had," mentioning how the flavors evoke memories of home. It's no coincidence; Riddhiben, the founder, has refined these recipes over years of serving delicious offerings from her home.
Aside from the Vadapav, Shreeji Khaman and Vadapav tantalizes taste buds with an array of delicacies. The Khaman, including offerings like Nylon Khaman and Sev Khamani, are prepared with the utmost care, ensuring authenticity in every bite. Customers like Shweta Gondalia rave about how the dishes taste "just like the ones we get in Gujarat," a testament to the kitchen's commitment to traditional flavors.
Equally enticing is the Dabeli, with options ranging from the regular version to a buttery upgrade. Each bite is an explosion of taste, brimming with spices and textures that echo the vibrant street food culture of India. As noted by Tejal Sudhakar Sutar, the culinary artisans at Shreeji Khaman have mastered these recipes to create dishes that are not just close to home but genuinely fulfilling.
The positive sentiment extends beyond the food; customers consistently mention the warm, friendly atmosphere and exceptional service. It’s a place where the community gathers, and new friendships are formed over shared plates of delicious street food.
If you find yourself longing for a taste of authentic Indian street food, I encourage you to visit Shreeji Khaman and Vadapav. With dishes that defy expectations and evoke nostalgia, it’s more than just a meal; it’s an experience that nourishes the heart and soul. Prepare to immerse yourself in flavors that are as vibrant as the culture they represent.

This is my go to place for vadapav. One year back we were desperately searching for a good vadapav place when we were introduced to Riddhiben. She used to serve this amazing food from home before they started this place. Vadapav, khaman, sev khamni, dabeli name the food they serve and it will be amazing. Now we come here every weekend to have vadapav from last two months now and still cannot get enough of it. We even tried Jay Bhavani’s(tbh it is overhyped) vadapav recently when it opened a new branch in windsor, but we still came back here. Amul cheese used by Riddhiben is a cherry on top. Same price but whole different level of taste. We love the food here, and please keep serving us this good vadapav forever. Thank you

Tried their Cheese vada pav and dabeli, and I must say it’s very close to what we get in Mumbai. Taste is amazing. Enjoyed it a lot. This is my goto place whenever I crave for vada pav and dabeli. Wish they start using Bombay pav instead of buns.

Tried their Dabeli and Sev Khamani today! I had to admit so far best one in town. Both these tasted just like the one we get in Gujarat! Very friendly people and amazing customer service. Thank you for bringing the best taste to Windsor, Ontario.

Nylon khaman, sev khamani, the accompanying green chutney, and cheese vada pav are the best ever in not just Windsor but probably entire Ontario! Way better than what we would get even in the GTA... Will definitely return again and again!

One of the best vadapavs I've had in Canada! The Amul Cheese Vadapav here perfectly captures the flavors of India. The spicy potato filling, soft bun, and creamy Amul cheese create an unforgettable bite that instantly brings back memories of home. A must-try for anyone craving authentic Indian street food!

Shreeji Khaman and Vadapav is a fantastic spot for authentic Gujarati street food in Windsor. The butter vadapav is delicious—perfectly spiced, soft, served hot, and generously coated with butter or oil. The butterscotch shreekhand is another standout, offering a rich, creamy dessert that has a unique and satisfying twist without being overly sweet. The khaman is always fresh and fluffy, and the overall quality of the food is consistently excellent. The staff are friendly, service is quick, and the place is clean and well-maintained. I do wish they had more tables available, and it would be great if they could extend their serving hours, at least on weekends, as they currently close at 7 PM. This place offers great value for money and consistently tasty food—highly recommended!

Only one and best place in Windsor to have Gujarati Khaman and sev khamni. It tastes exactly the same as we get in cities like Vadodara, Bharuch and Anand. Also their cheeses vadapav comes with Amul cheese. To go breakfast place if I am in Windsor.
